Bourbon barrels hold whiskey for six to twelve years. American white oak preserves the amber hue and vanilla from the aged wood.

This piece reuses this material, as a single fine line, set offset in the tungsten. A trace, rather than a band.

The wood no longer smells of bourbon. But it comes from a single place in Kentucky.

Care

Tungsten does not tarnish. The fine line of barrel wood is resin-stabilized. A gentle wipe with a microfiber cloth is sufficient. Rub a few drops of teak oil twice a year to preserve the amber hue.

Le fût de bourbon contient le whisky pendant six à douze ans. Le chêne blanc américain garde la teinte ambrée et la vanille du bois vieilli.

Cette pièce reprend ce matériau, en une seule fine ligne, posée en décalage dans le tungstène. Une trace, plutôt qu'un bandeau.

Le bois ne sent plus le bourbon. Mais il vient d'un seul endroit dans le Kentucky.

Entretien

Le tungstène ne ternit pas. La fine ligne de bois de fût est stabilisée résine. Un essuyage doux au chiffon microfibre suffit. Frottez quelques gouttes d'huile de teck deux fois par an pour préserver la teinte ambrée.

Lifetime warranty

Every Maison Kardinal piece comes with a lifetime guarantee on its structure: tungsten, steel, and inlay setting. If the material fails, we replace it.

The guarantee does not cover intentional scratches, loss, or damage from extreme use. Tungsten is scratch-resistant in everyday use: it can crack under very strong mechanical pressure (dropping on concrete, heavy impact). In this case, we also replace it.

You wear the piece for twenty, thirty, fifty years. It remains functional. This is our commitment, and it is engraved in the MAISON KARDINAL signature engraved on each ring.

What is covered

The structure of the ring, against manufacturing defects.

Detachment of an inlay (meteorite, wood, opal, gold flakes) if the cause is a manufacturing defect and not an impact.

Abnormal tarnishing of a material guaranteed to be unalterable (tungsten, 18k gold).

Breakage of the hand-setting on Aurore and Galaxie pieces.

The interior engraving of the engraved MAISON KARDINAL signature, for life.

What is not covered

Intentional breakage or major impacts (crushing, violent impact against a hard metal object). Tungsten is very hard but brittle: a violent impact can break it cleanly.

Loss or theft of the piece.

Size modification. Tungsten cannot be re-sized (the material is too hard to be recut). In case of incorrect size, we offer a free exchange within thirty days of delivery.

Normal wear and tear of wood (Bourbon) or opal (Galaxie) if the piece is exposed to prolonged immersion, chemicals, or thermal shock.

How to activate the warranty

Step 1. Find the engraved MAISON KARDINAL signature inside your piece, or indicated on the provenance booklet received at the time of purchase.

Step 2. Send an email to contact@maisonkardinal.com with your engraved MAISON KARDINAL signature, two photos of the piece (overview and view of the defect), and a description of the problem.

Step 3. We will respond within 48 hours with return instructions.

Step 4. After receipt and expert assessment, we will replace the piece identically or repair it as possible. The interior engraving will be transferred to the new piece.

Lead time: between two and five weeks depending on the piece and material availability.

Warranty service is free of charge. Return shipping costs are your responsibility unless there is an error on our part.

Legal warranty

The Maison Kardinal commercial warranty is in addition to the legal conformity warranty (two years in France) provided by the consumer code, and the warranty against hidden defects of the civil code. You retain all your rights.

Origin and signature

Each piece bears the MAISON KARDINAL signature engraved on the inside, in the logo's typography. Except for pieces whose material does not allow engraving: the Damas Ring (forged steel) and the Carbon Ring (carbon fiber), for technical reasons.

The rings are made to order in our partner workshops specializing in tungsten carbide and damascus. Each piece undergoes quality control before shipping from our storage facility.

The raw materials (tungsten, 316L steel, Gibeon meteorite, bourbon barrel wood, carbon fiber, opal) are sourced from certified suppliers.

Method 1, With an existing ring

The most reliable method if you already own a ring that fits you well.

Choose a well-fitting ring

Select a ring that you wear comfortably on the desired finger. Make sure it is not too tight and does not spin.

Measure the inner diameter

Place the ring flat on a ruler and measure the inner diameter in millimeters (from one inner edge to the other).

Consult the chart

Transfer the measurement to the chart above or use the converter. If you are between two sizes, choose the larger size.

Method 2, With a string or strip of paper

Ideal if you don't have a reference ring.

Wrap the string around your finger

Take a string or a thin strip of paper. Wrap it around the base of the desired finger, passing over the knuckle.

Mark the crossing point

With a pen, mark the exact spot where the string crosses. The string should be snug but not tight; it should be able to slide over the knuckle.

Measure the length

Unroll the string and measure the length between the two marks in millimeters. This is your circumference. Enter it into the converter above.

Important Tips

Measure at the right time

Your finger size changes throughout the day. Measure at the end of the day, when your fingers are at their largest. Avoid measuring when you are cold (shrunken fingers) or after physical exertion (swollen fingers).

Our rings are comfort fit

All Maison Kardinal rings are comfort fit (rounded interior). They slide on more easily than standard flat-interior rings. If you are used to classic rings, your comfort fit size may be the same or half a size smaller.

Between two sizes?

Always choose the larger size. A slightly larger ring will be comfortable, while a ring that is too tight will be impossible to wear. Our tungsten rings cannot be resized, so choosing the correct size is essential.

Tungsten cannot be resized

Unlike gold or silver, tungsten is an extremely hard metal that cannot be enlarged or reduced. In case of an incorrect size, we offer a free exchange within 30 days.
